GEOGRAPHY, Stephen's Grammy nominated vocal album released in the 1970's, was a follow-up to his critically acclaimed album "From Philly To Tablas", both of which were released between 1977-1980 on the Seattle based record label Music Is Medicine, a subsidiary of First American Records. Some other records on MIM included: Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Barry Melton (from Country Joe & The Fish fame), and Spirit. "GEOGRAPHY" was recorded at Thunder Oak Audio in Bothel, Washington, and the album "From Philly To Tablas" was recorded at Intermedia Sound in Boston, Massachusetts. The "Philly" LP won Stephen the honor of being voted one of the eight unsung artists of 1978 by Modern Recording Magazine (along with: Dave Brubeck and Bruce Cockburn). We sell all of Stephen's recordings (LP's & CD's) on our site. The album "GEOGRAPHY" is extremely RARE and hard to find in unused condition. The song titles: Things Are Looking Up, Where Are You, That's What We're Here For, Heaven On Earth, Honeymoon On The MIA, A Better Way, I Grew Up At Last. This album features some of Seattle's best musicians of the day; Kirk Tuttle: Drums, Mark Willett: Bass, Bobby Nachtsheim: Brass, Richard Dean: Keyboards, Stephen Whynott: Vocals, guitars, piano, & mandolin. Produced by: Stephen Whynott, Mixed by: Micheal Leary & Stephen Whynott.
