Notes
This is the initial pressing of "SPUNK". Due to rush release to beat NMTB in the shops in the U.K., this release came out just in a plain white sleeve. Labels are matt purple/white printings and matrix number as mentioned down under. The inner sleeve is the same used as for NMTB a few days later! Now you can easily spot if you have the initial copy. To avoid endless discussions about this submission being double, triple or what else: This IS the first release as it hit the shops in early October 1977! All others have followed after this one in countless variations, as bootleg, semi offical and also nowadays as an official release!
Have also added a picture of the sleeve details, everyone who has the orignal NMTB-release will see, that there are the same printings on both inner sleeves!
This is the infamous "Spunk" bootleg released just before the Never Mind The Bollocks LP, "initially released without a sleeve in a rush to beat 'Never Mind The Bollocks' to the shops." (Gavin Walsh: "God Save The Sex Pistols - A Collector's Guide To The Priests Of Punk", Plexus 2003, page 102)
