Hype sticker reads (white lettering on black) "A great album by a revolutionary group... To be filled between The Velvet Underground and Sonic Youth in the list of all time influential bands... 180 gram HQ vinyl..." Repress of this release came with a different color hype sticker, red lettering on white.

According to the band, this pressing was mastered from CD, not the original master tapes.Recorded at Foel Studios, Time Square Studios and The Greenhouse.

Label A is on side B, and vice versa.

To confirm earlier reviews, Labels are misprinted and band name is mispelled on spine. I have listened to this pressing about 10 times and have no real quarrel with the sound quality. 3 stars for flimsy jacket and misprinting.

On my copy the labels aren't on the wrong side. They were just misprinted. Printed on the label for Side one (Side A) are the tracks for Side two (Side B). Vice verse on the other side. Being a bootleg I'm not surprised but really not that bad of a pressing.
  • Frostdefender
I approve this bootleg. Good sound, quality printed sleeve (minus the typo).
  • Quashant
i also have it, notice that the name of the band is MISPELLED on the spine of the sleeve (really...) - it says my BLODDY valentine.....
  • Rexfire
Mine also has this typo. Typical bootleg stuff.

Found this at my local shop, and couldn't pass it up. Found out afterward that it was a bootleg, but I don't mind. The sound definitely isn't perfect, but I wouldn't call it TERRIBLE. Definitely a secondhand recording through and through. Lives up to the title of "bootleg". With all that said, I'm still glad to have it, and it still sounds good through my speakers without any major flaw, aberration, damage, etc. Good, clean, faithful pressing. I definitely want an original eventually, but, until that time, this will definitely hold me over.

Í saw these german bootlegs(both albums) a vinyl fair here in switzerland last year and once again in a german shop last week. They just look so shaky that I figured out that they were bootlegs. The cardboard quality is just cheap and the quality of the picture is noticeably Xerox. I didn't listened to them but figured out if you're a music lover you shouldn't spend your money on them.

bad pressing. side a labeled b, and side b is labeled a. the media had lots of fingerprints and stains which couldn't be removed with deep cleaning. the sound is decent but totally compressed, definetely not your option if you are a real audiophile. stick to the original UK pressing for the best sounding experience

I have just bought this the other day, the labels were imprinted. Side a is labeled side b and side b is labeled side a. I'm surprised at how good this sounds considering that it is probably a bootleg.

thanks a lot for this comment ... very helpful ... do you have any other identifiers, such as the matrix numbers if any ...

I just got it today. Spine says,"My Bloddy Valentine", haha. Sounds pretty decent to me, but I'd love to A/B it up against an original.
