One of the best releases on Metroplex, from the master Magic Juan.
Both tracks are killer Electro/Techno, featuring rare spoken word vocal appearances from the man himself (and doing a great job of it too). Deep, spacey, Sci-Fi funk, with those trademark DX sounds.
The A side 'I See The Light' is conversely the darker, more edgy of the 2, jittering and twitching along like some tweaked out automaton. But for me 'Pick Up The Flow' eclipses it.
It's lush chords, rolling 808 BASS, and breathy vocals that hint at implanting hidden knowledge telepathically, have a hypnotic effect when combined, which draws you out of the confines of your mind...
The walls come down to reveal breathtaking panoramic views as you witness the sunrise over a city scape inhabited by a civilisation far in advance of our own, technologically, intellectually and spiritually. In harmony with machines, the universe and each other. They communicate through pure thought and emotion. Is this our future or our distant past, remembered by only a few in visions??
These sounds strike a chord within our collective consciousness, allowing those images to bleed through into our awareness.
Ghosts in the machine??
Or Re-cognition?

The epitome of Detroit Techno. To anyone who has an affinity with this sound, you NEED this record.
