Notes

Cover states: Man of Words/Man of Music David Bowie
Spine and labels state: David Bowie
Gatefold sleeve. All historical details show Mercury catalogued the album as "David Bowie", as per the UK release.
1st pressing indicated by the fact that the Mercury logos on the centre labels lack an ® symbol and without the text “Manufactured and Distributed by Mercury Records Productions, Inc.” as per release David Bowie - Man Of Words/Man Of Music.

Track timing for A2 (Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed) is incorrect. Timing shows original time for this track combined with the following 'hidden' track (Don't Sit Down) as it appears on the master tape. Don't Sit Down was removed prior to release seemingly after labels were prepared. Actual time is approx 6:09. Of the first issues on Philips and Mercury, Don't Sit Down was removed from the Mercury North American releases only, while all Philips issues contain the track.

Note: Only A1 was produced by Gus Dudgeon. The labels credit Dudgeon with production of B3 (Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud) also, but this version was produced by Tony Visconti as per the remainder of the album. Dudgeon produced the original single version of this track, but the album version was a re-recording with notably more instrumentation. This limited edition pressing of 1500 copies was released via Parlophone to celebrate the opening of the V&A’s David Bowie Is at the Groninger Museum, Groningen, Netherlands, on December 11th, 2015. The record was exclusive to the exhibition, which ran from the above date until 10 April 2016.

This pressing contains "Don't sit down", it wasn't on the original and shouldn't be here either
  • Preve
Is this the same version as the one from V&A?
  • Tcaruieb
There are a max numb of 3000!!! No more!! maybe 2000....I know for sure .. A Friend working at the museum
  • Nalmetus
Max. 3000 or 2000? Vague. I still have the feeling that the museum has been fooling the customers to sell more. The museum tells people they are not responsible but Warner is and refuse to state the correct number.
  • Lonesome Orange Kid
Still for sale on March 5, 2016 in the Museum. New pressing perhaps?
  • Eigonn
Bought one at the exhibition yesterday for 35 euros, plenty available. Don't get fooled by those flippers.

Johan1880 Bought one at the exhibition yesterday for 35 euros, plenty available. Don't get fooled by those flippers. Post runouts please
  • Flamekiller
They had a certain amount available, supposedly 3000. The amount was divided amongst the whole exhibition. So it wouldn't be sold out from day one.By the way, 35€? I bought on the first day for 23€.
  • Wyameluna
